New ISANS Youth Explore! Program

I am excited to share that ISANS is expanding programs for our community. Their new Youth Explore! program helps young people meet new friends, learn about life in Canada, and receive support for their future. It provides a safe and fun space to grow, learn new things, and get help with finding a job, managing stress, and staying healthy.

What to Expect:

  • Learn about life in Canada! Topics include healthcare, managing stress, and building good relationships.
  • Job skills: Workshops on finding a job, planning a career, and becoming a leader.
  • Meet other youth and connect with other young people in the community.
  • Receive support for the future: One-on-one help with planning for school and work.
  • Gain experience and learn new skills by job-shadowing and volunteering.
  • Enjoy fun monthly community events to meet others and explore Halifax.
  • Build confidence and leadership: Develop skills to succeed.

Our Space in Halifax

The Youth and Family Centre in west-end Halifax is a comfortable and creative spot for youth aged 13 to 30. It has areas for both learning and hanging out with friends, offering a space to relax, create, and build skills.

Youth Explore! is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun. For more information, contact ISANS or visit the office on Mumford Road.
