Climate action grants open for Nova Scotians

Communities across Nova Scotia looking to take action on climate change and environmental sustainability have an opportunity to access funding through the Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund. This fund offers financial support for projects like fixing shorelines, preventing floods, building eco-friendly infrastructure, and improving energy efficiency. The goal is to help communities deal with climate change and protect the environment for the long term. This funding helps local groups create projects that protect nature and improve life for residents in Nova Scotia.

This year, the focus is on projects that protect coastlines and adapt to climate change while acknowledging the unique challenges faced by communities along Nova Scotia’s shorelines.

Eligible applicants include municipalities, First Nations communities, post-secondary institutions, and non-profit organizations working on innovative climate solutions.

Applications for funding are now open, and interested organizations are encouraged to apply. For more details, including eligibility criteria and application guidelines, please visit the Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund website.
