As we transition into the warmer months, I’m proud to share highlights from recent work both in the Legislature and across Halifax Armdale.
Staying accountable at Province House
The spring session at Province House concluded at the end of March. As a new MLA, I appreciated the opportunity to stand up for our communities, ask tough questions, and challenge decisions that undermine democratic processes. You can read my full session report here.
Listening and learning in the community
Effective representation begins with real conversations. That’s why I’ve launched Coffee Tent events—informal, accessible opportunities for residents to connect with me directly in their own neighbourhoods. Whether you want to raise a concern, share an idea, or simply say hello, I hope you’ll stop by. Dates and locations are available in my email newsletter (you can find it on this page.)
Recognizing community leadership
Each month, I’m proud to highlight the individuals and organizations that help make Halifax Armdale a better place to live. This month’s Community Group of the Month is the Long Lake Provincial Park Association—a volunteer-led group that has spent nearly 40 years protecting and enhancing public access to one of our region’s most cherished natural spaces.
If you know a person or group whose contributions deserve recognition, I’d love to hear from you. Some of these stories may be featured in my email newsletter or recognized through a formal statement in the Legislature. You can share your nomination here.
Let’s stay in touch
My constituency office remains open and available to help with provincial services, questions, or support. I also encourage you to stay connected through this monthly newsletter and upcoming in-person events.
Thank you for the continued opportunity to serve Halifax Armdale.
